What is your mission? Do you want to start your own business? Are you looking for a way to incorporate more time for yourself into your jam-packed schedule? Are you considering going back to school or back to work? Do you think it’s time that you start writing that book that’s been churning around in your head for the past few years?
When you became a mother, all of those things that you wanted to do were most likely shoved to the back burner while the following job titles probably crept up on your resume: cook, coach, referee, personal chauffeur, maid, nurse, doctor, librarian, and human encyclopedia for all questions starting with Why? and How? We know that you love your children unconditionally and give 110% to your family. Here, we want to make sure that you are putting “you” back into your mission statements as we build a community of women who embrace motherhood but who also know the importance and value of tending to our own needs and feeding our own passions.
Whatever your mission may be, we welcome you. Meeting topics will be dictated by the missions of the individuals in the group and not every meeting will have a structured theme but will instead be a time to gather and socialize with new friends. We want to form a network of women who support each other on our journeys as mothers and as women. We will seek out speakers throughout the year who can advise about topics that are of interest to the group. Topics can range from taking the hassle out of meal planning to demystifying financial planning. Even if you are not interested in a particular meeting’s topic, come for the pure fun of getting out of the house and socializing with other women! We welcome moms of all ages; even if your children have already left for college or have children of their own, your opinion and input are valued here.
We may not have all the answers, but we want to help put you in touch with people who may.
Moms On a Mission will meet at 7:30PM on the third Wednesday of each month at Natural Pathways in North Mankato. The first meeting is September 18. Light refreshments will be served. Please join us!
